Kevin activates and tests out our rented satellite phone Kevin, Chris, and Charlie use spray paint to place a mark every meter along our weed-whacker transect lines. We need these marks for the new Geoscan resistivity meter until we can develop a more effecient method. Our new suitcases arrived today and we started packing things up to see what will fit or not fit. We have four large suitcases that we'll use as checked luggage.

Things are packing well except for a few items...like the fluxgate magnetometer carrying frame in the lower right corner of this photograph. Tripods and prism rods are also too long for the suitcases. We are not yet sure how to travel with these items.
